Pertenece a la Autoridad Portuaria de Ferrol-San Cibrao, de la red de puertos de inter\u00e9s general del Estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por ese motivo, se iniciaron los tr\u00e1mites de construir un nuevo acceso ferroviario a los muelles de Caneli\u00f1as conectado con la red ferroviaria de inter\u00e9s general del estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El estudio informativo muestra tres alternativas, Norte, Centro y Sur, con una caracter\u00edstica en com\u00fan, la construcci\u00f3n de un t\u00fanel largo en v\u00eda \u00fanica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fomento ha escogido la opci\u00f3n Sur por ser la m\u00e1s ventajosa econ\u00f3micamente y t\u00e9cnicamente, al ser m\u00e1s barato y menos kil\u00f3metros de t\u00fanel, por contra, fue muy contestada, por ir por la r\u00eda mediante un puente.
